Door3 ILLERHAUS and Salzburg

Door 3 - the year 2002

Door 3: "Valuable connections grow with trust. Here's to many more years of solidarity!"
Behind the third door of our Advent calendar is a very special moment from 2002 - a milestone for Illerhaus Marketing and for me personally.

The first big pitch - A leap onto the stage
2002 was an exciting year full of new opportunities. One of the biggest highlights was undoubtedly the presentation of Confriends & Kultours - now known as Salzburg Convention Bureau. I was able to present my vision for the network on stage and won the first big pitch of my career.

This success was far more than just a professional milestone. It was the beginning of a close and trusting collaboration with the city of Salzburg, the regional partners and one of the most inspiring personalities in the industry, Alexandra Meixner. Together, we developed innovative concepts that sustainably strengthened the network in Salzburg and continue to shape it today.

Salzburg: a role model for successful networks
The city of Salzburg and the surrounding region stand for much more than just their cultural appeal - they are a prime example of functioning networks. From the very first moment I was here, I experienced how important mutual trust and shared visions are in creating valuable connections.

What networking means to me
Networking is much more than just exchanging business cards. It is about building real relationships, approaching each other and growing together. The success of Illerhaus Marketing is based on these core values: trust, authenticity and profitable contacts. Working with the Salzburg Convention Bureau and its partners has shown me time and again how much is possible when people work together with passion and a clear vision.

Gratitude for a long-standing relationship
Today, over 20 years later, I still have close ties with Salzburg. The city, the region and, above all, the people there have shaped Illerhaus Marketing in a special way. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an inspiring network - and look forward to many more years full of joint projects and successes.

Here's to what connects - Yours, Susanne Illerhaus
