Sometimes there are moments that stay in your memory forever - and the MICE Industry Get-Together Salzburg in October 2021 was one of them.

Weeks beforehand, it wasn't clear whether we would be able to hold this event at all. But when we finally gathered at the St. Peter Stiftskulinarium - the oldest restaurant in Europe - it felt like a long-awaited reunion.

An evening full of stories and enjoyment

The place itself was impressive. With over 1200 years of history, the Stiftskulinarium exudes a magic that cannot be put into words. Networking in the magnificent baroque hall provided space for real encounters, inspiring conversations and the feeling of sitting around a table together again - in real life, not virtually.

Veronika Kirchmair, the hostess, enchanted us with stories from the history of the house - a window into a world characterized by tradition and warmth.

We were also spoiled with culinary delights: at dinner at the hosted tables, where conversations were deepened and contacts made, and at the finale "Later at Peter's" with a DJ and the atmospheric Willibald Arkaden.

The power of the encounter

This event was more than just a networking meeting. It showed how valuable real encounters are - encounters that not only have a business impact, but also an emotional one.

At a time when many things were uncertain, these hours in Salzburg gave us a clear message: it is the personal exchange that drives our industry. And it is the stories, the magic of the places and the people that inspire us again and again.
