A special year - an unforgettable MICE industry get-together at Andechs Monastery
2020 was a year that presented us all with immense challenges. It was characterized by uncertainty and existential fears, but also by impressive creativity, courage and solidarity. It was precisely this cohesion that led us to a very special MICE industry get-together in summer 2020 - under extraordinary conditions, but with an unwavering passion for what we do.
The Lake Starnberg MICE industry get-together was actually traditionally supposed to take place on the MS Starnberg. However, due to the current hygiene regulations, a new location was found without further ado: the historic Andechs Monastery, a place with a unique atmosphere that has become a symbol of new beginnings in difficult times.
A day dedicated to safety and community
Despite the obligation to wear masks, a one-way street system and a meticulous hygiene concept, the spirit of the day was unbroken. The spacious Florian-Stadl at Kloster Andechs became a stage for inspiring conversations, new connections and the feeling of finally sitting at the same table again - even if this time the table was a little bigger and the distances were a little wider.
The attention to detail was palpable: from the perfectly coordinated seating areas to the hearty catering provided by the Klostergasthof and the careful organization by the Illerhaus team - everything was designed to offer the participants a safe and unforgettable experience.
A sign of hope and confidence
The energy of this day will never be forgotten. It was not just a networking event, but a sign that we can stick together and find creative solutions even in difficult times. The response was overwhelming: gratitude, a spirit of optimism and the feeling of being able to experience a bit of normality again characterized this MICE industry get-together at Andechs Monastery.
