Built for the Bamberg prince-bishops around 1720, Burgellern Castle was a popular meeting place for the Bavarian aristocracy in the early 19th century. Experience the dazzling side of Bayreuth on the Street Art Tour and discover the artistic designs hidden on the walls.

Site Inspection Margravial Opera House
The Margravial Opera House is the best preserved example of a free-standing baroque court theater. It was modeled on the largest opera houses of the time in Vienna and Dresden. As a unique monument to the festive and musical culture of the 18th century, it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2012. In 2023, a modern museum was added to the World Heritage Site, which has been delighting visitors ever since.

The Hermitage is a historic palace and park complex of European standing and is one of Bayreuth's absolute highlights - fountains with water features, magnificent buildings and much more.
