"What are the most important tasks of a zoo"
He has held a management position at Cologne Zoo since 2000. Initially as an authorized signatory and since 2007 as the board member responsible for the entire administrative area (human resources, finance, IT, organization, marketing and sales).
Since 2004, he has also been Managing Director of Zoo Gastronomie GmbH, which he founded in 2004, and since 2014 he has also been Managing Director of Kölner Zoo Shop GmbH and thus also responsible for the entire retail and merchandising business of Cologne Zoo.
He is also Chairman of the "Hans and Waltraud Korbmacher Foundation" and on the Board of the "Arnulf and Elizabeth Reichart Foundation" and the "Blumenberg Foundation", with all three foundations focusing on the promotion and further expansion of the zoo.
Before joining Cologne Zoo, he worked as a lawyer in the field of "privatization of formerly state-owned properties and municipal companies" for various companies. He is still admitted to the Cologne District Court as a lawyer and also has an additional qualification as a business lawyer specializing in marketing (FH).
Landsberg has 2 grown-up children, enjoys cycling and playing tennis.
